I found a signed Lalique vase (7.5" tall) at my friend's thrift store! But the base/bottom edge is chipped - is this Lalique still a collectible or valuable?
    Thank you for any help

My grandmother had about 5 similar vases that we tossed out last year... We used to think so much of her stuff was valuable until Ebay came around. :(

She also had a bunch of fancy gold-plated candlestick holders we discovered were worth only about $20 a set.

I'm wondering whether it's real too. Fake and Forged shows quite a few forgeries, but they also do not show a "real" mark like yours.

Even if real, the condition issues destroys the value.

    Definitely!

"Generally, all authentic pre-1945 Lalique markings are very small, rarely over 1/8" high. The lettering style is very plain with all letters being the same width and no decorative flourishes at the end of the letters. Marks on genuine pieces appear in inconspicuous places like bottom rims or worked into the design.

Forged marks, in contrast, are made to stand out and be seen so they are frequently placed in a prominent position and are relatively large, up to 1/2" high. Forged marks frequently use fancy and decorative styles of lettering."

OP's certainly still looks forged, at least according to this source.
