Featured Agate locket age

    hi folks

    something i found today in our local antiquey shop for not very much

    quite a nice size, think its probably brass (no marks)

    wondering if it has any age to it

    closing still works well

    any thought appreciated

    Sure looks like gold to me.Marks can sometimes get polished or worn off. Pretty thing nonetheless.

    Lovely bit of late Victorian hardstone and I bet it's gold. They were often unmarked.

    Was also going to say it looked like it could be gold. Seems to have a nice quality about it. Handsome piece.

    If it’s brass I’m going to send all of mine to you for polishing as it really does look like gold! It’s a lovely thing, I like Victorian banded agate. No marks on the ring at the top?

    Tested it yesterday and its definitely not gold, though I agree with everyone it does look like it !
