Featured Does anyone recognize this fabric?

Funny you mention Versace - I did a deep dive a few years ago thinking that it could be Versace. Polished cotton makes more sense then a silk mix - I couldn't describe the feel of it but polished really applies!

 

One of my very favorite shirts from the long ago 80s was a purple striped polished cotton .It seemed silkier(for lack of a better term) than this fabric. Could this be a glazed cotton as opposed to polished ?

 

Do you know the designer and/or brand name of that sofa? It must be very special to warrant $7500.00 for the fabric alone, not to mention the labor cost for a reupholster job. That is my burning question right now!
Are there any feet at all or does it just sit flat on the floor?

 

Given the cost of the fabric, could have been custom sofa.

This was definitely a custom sofa. The whole was over $16,000. No mention of the fabric maker/manufacturer or seamstress. Was just noted on the insurance rider for replacement value. This was in a 10 million dollar home very close to the Governor's mansion in Atlanta (Buckhead). I have owned it for years. It sits on six circular disc feet. I think it would look better on Lucite blocks. I don't want to sell it because it is super fun and the colors are really wonderful but I go back and forth. It will not work in our new living room but could go in one of the upper suites. Here is the living room window - our house is almost finished!

 

Can I move in with you? Please?

*gasp* A barn too! It's all so fabulous and idyllic! Looks like plenty of territory for trail rides.

 

Yes we are bordered by a few hundred acres. It’s been way too hot to ride though.

It won't be hot forever, LOL. I got so excited about the barn and the landscape, but the house looks like a country manor, a mini castle. I hope you get a housekeeper and cook to go with it! I love all the walk out decks and balconies. Which direction does your huge living room window face?

This is 'Garden of Lorien,' a novelty print from Brunschwig & Fils which is a bit more naive in design but not dissimilar in execution.
