I had to rearrange furniture in order to create a spot for it!

Not a problem. I bet even a "disciple of Chihuly" piece is worth a small fortune.

Went to an estate sale this morning instead of getting enough sleep to hit my niece's school art exhibit this evening. What a difference a week makes. Last week... spent $8.50 and did better out of a roadside junk pile. The two necklaces and pendant at the left are things I made or repaired. Today? $60 and I literally got the gold... AND a long sterling and stone David Yurman. Signed.

Nice stuff! I dig the Yurman!
Is that lapis with gold beads? And Zuni hoops?

A gourd vase from a few weeks ago, signature and all. The painting was a freebie. Nothing crazy, sofa table art, but hey... dated 1966 and free.

Dyed (probably) lapis and 14k ...yep. The hoops are probably Chinese but they're sterling and Chinese turquoise. The rings are all sterling and test like stones. Just don't ask me which. Topaz probably. The heart pendant is marked with a blurry R in a square and China, but the jump rings are soldered and the stones aren't glass. Go figure.

Earlier this week I found some nice earrings at a local thrift shop.

And at the local antique mall, these 14k and pearl earrings were mixed in with costume jewelry

And last month, at the same antique mall, this 14k gold necklace with a .999 gold pendant was priced at $20. I didn't ask why, I just pounced.

Good idea! The best response to cheap gold is "Here's my money Kthnxbye"!

It's funny, because I dared to loupe the clasp in front of the young salesgirl, looking for the karat mark.
I don't think she knew what I was doing! I told her
"I can't see too good anymore" and she seemed to accept that explanation!
But I quickly paid for it and ran!

I'll be hauling that to the antiques dealer sooner or later. He has a market for MCM art and I honestly have no place to hang it.

This Omega watch was in a $3.00 bag of junk watches from the antique mall.
14k gold filled. I think is from the early 1950s, but I don't know exactly. I could remove the back and check the serial number, but it runs great, and I don't wanna mess it up!

I wouldn't either; I'd throw a band on it and wear it!

Your phone tells the time. Sell it for $400.

Yes, that's what I intend to do! It did come with a cheapo strap, but I'll be replacing it with a decent leather one.
