Featured Lovely but is it real or fake?

    I’ve had this for some time and have enjoyed wearing it but always wondered if it was real or fake. It has a Diamond marking with a 18k 750 underneath which makes me think fake cos that kinda overstating the obvious but could I be wrong?

    Interesting! I thought 18k and 750 wouldn’t necessarily go together and is indicative of a fake…hmm I’ve learned something new today…

    18K is a USA marking, 750 is European for 18K :)

    Not if the piece was marked so it could be exported. Then the double mark would be totally normal.

    It is a lovely brooch. It's always nice to hear that people actually wear the things they post here. (Of course, some people are planning to sell and so not wearing them is understandable.)

    It's beautiful! These are probably Japanese akoya pearls. A lovely high quality piece.

    I bet that's Middle Eastern. As aj says, often show both 18K and 750.
