I need some insight if anyone can help and I will give as much info as needed to help identify these.

They are probably more vintage, but I truly don't know. They have been sitting around in a box for many many years and belonged to a family member that gave me them years back. I have always wondered the history of these and what they actual are for the sake of knowing.

They are made of some form of plastic it seems. Most are an ivory color. Some look like someone painted a few.
In the picture, the girl on the horse is about 1 1/2" long by 1 1/4" tall.

Any insight would be appreciated and if I have the wrong category, I apologize 1.jpg .

They look like charms from a gum ball machine or cracker jack or cereal.

Yes, they do look like giveaway Cracker Jack, etc. charms. I see a Mobil Pegasus horse among them. The paint (on the soldier, baseball player, Dutch boy, etc.) would be original. And the "Scottie dog" indicates they likely date to the 1930s -1940s when that breed was at the height of its popularity. You can search eBay under Completed Auctions for "vintage celluloid charms" to get an idea of general collector interest and rarity of individual charms (if resale is your purpose.)

Me too. Must have been an exciting collection for some little "vintage" child.

I have a small collection of those. I was told by a customer that they were bread bag ties.

Isn't that interesting? That's what this seller says and would explain the cords.
