This is another inherited piece. It measures about 3/4" across. Stamped Made in Italy on the back. Gold colored metal. No other marks are present. Reminds of the Venetian glass bits my parents have brought home over the past 40 years or so. Any thoughts on the corrosion? Seems like if you tried to clean it, it would just fall apart. If the "greenies" have gone light green color, they might be best left alone. (light green means "inert" or no longer causing more damage.) If the look doesn't appeal, I'd give this one the ketchup treatment. Glob some ketchup on the top, over the gunk. Let sit for a few hours and then remove with a damp paper towel. THe finish under the green gunk is gone, but the gunk will be too.

I've just cleaned an old micro bracelet. Not ketchup, I've found it tends to redden the brass. Vinegar bath and then a soft brush.

This one is older, first half of the 20th century, probably made in Florence. The glass for the mosaic is usually Murano glass, so Venetian.

Vinegar bath, then brass wire brush! This will make it shiny again:)
