39" x 18" Antique Oil Painting- Mountain Pond!

I won this charming vintage/antique 39"x18" oil painting of a mountain pond at a storage unit sale on Ebay. Maybe pre-WW2 era. The plan was to clean, repair, and re-frame it. Unfortunately, the painting has a few rips, is pretty dirty, and might be a factory work. Looks like the antique stretcher is in good shape. I just don't have the time to restore it at the moment and don't have enough storage room.

So... my loss is your gain! Just a few requirements for those interested:

-Members in good standing for 6 months in the US or Canada.
-Promise to do something with it and post your plans here.
-Winner covers shipping (I already have a free compact box)

Will run a drawing if more than one person is interested. P.S. If no one is interested, it's getting tossed.

I think you're unclear on the concept of give a way....!

When u toss it out.....please take a video of just how far....u can toss it......

 

Well, I'm not asking anyone to do anything with it in particular! 5 people bid on this at auction and I paid a fair amount, so just giving folks here an opportunity. Shipping cost me $20 so doubt it would cost much to reship. I'd cover handling.

Well, I like the picture -- but have no restoration skills and couldn't use it as is. But appreciate your offer to donate. This would be good for somebody who wants to develop or practice skills.

 

Wouldn't know what to do with it if I had it. Got an art school near you? I bet they have students who'd love to have a piece to practice on.
