    Hello

I think this is a candlestick holder, at least that is how it was being used.

any ideas on date/country? The pontil os roughly the shape of a Maltese cross.

    20.3cm height
    5.3cm rim diameter
    7.5cm foot rim diameter

It resembles a Simon Pearce Cavendish candlestick, but with a smaller diameter 'lip'? 'rim'? at the very top. The pontil mark is also similar to the one used at Simon Pearce.

I initially thought so too, but with that lip it would be quite a messy experience trying to drink from.
