    Hi

I have this tablespoon with three marks on the back of the terminal, I am really struggling to find anything like it online or in my reference books. Does anybody have any idea what these marks are? Thank you in advance for any help.

The marks are clearly overstamped which explains their confused nature. It is difficult to work out which bits might be original and which bits overstamped but I think that I might be able to see the lower part of a possible spread eagle mark - end of tail and talons. If so this could be Scottish provincial, possibly from Perth. The shape of the spoon looks like what is known as an "oar pattern"; this is also a typically Scottish pattern.

Many thanks for the replies, I will have a look at my copy of Turner's to see if I can track down a Scottish provincial connection.
