Featured Porcelain Whatsit Figure Thing

    I have no clue who made this. But the hair must have taken time. Would anyone have a clue? 6 3/4" tall.

    Don't know whether this qualifies as a 'half doll', but you might see what a search using that term gets you. What is she holding in her left hand? Love letter?

    A takeoff on a Recency era lady penning a love letter, except that she's mostly bald. :eek::eek::eek:

    Evelyb, not really bald. Her hair is mostly pulled back with just curls on the side.

    It looks like Cordey, but not at all sure about that. And I agree that it looks like she's holding a quill.

    And she sure looks bald to me! Mayhap she will appeal to the men and boys who have adopted the muffin hairstyle! It would be a change at least.

    Overall, I think it comes across as grotesque. Neo-bald head, distorted muscular arms.

    The figurine is slightly stylized, but she has a regular 1830s hairstyle and is wearing a regular 1830s dress with gigot sleeves:
