Featured Awesome silver piece marked HB no silver marks

    Hiya all, pick this up, tests as silver but no other marks than the HB?
    Any ideas the maker?

    No luck searching yet. I found an HB American maker but the corners of the stamp are too straight. I found a very similar HB mark attributed to an unknown British maker, however that one had all the accompanying British stamps. I’ll try again later.

    I had a toast rack with that very same HB mark. I have no clue who made the damn thing.

    That IS Beautiful.....the woman's image makes me think of the Swedish Opera singer Jenny Lind....the hairdo seems reminiscent of how she wore hers! (1820-1877) They said she sang like a Nightingale!! Of course, it could just as easily NOT be her, still a lovely piece!!

    This is late 19th century parcel-gilt English electroplate by Henry Bourne of Birmingham - the decorative elements are most likely electrotypes...
