    Definitely British (English to be precise) and correctly identified by bluumz. Note that the vertical orientation of the hallmark is normal on flatware of this period.

    Yes, it is correct, it has the kings mark represented by the lions head, it has the mark of George the 3rd used from 1785-1820, it has the correct assay mark for London and the correct K for 1825. After 1836 it would have had the left facing profile of Queen Victoria. Everything "post" Victoria doesn't fit. Well done.

    Looks like it could be a measure, full scoop on the big end, maybe 1/4 of that on the other?? But why it would be elongated is beyond me.

    As was stated at the beginning of this thread, it's a marrow scoop. For scooping the marrow out of bones.
