I always buy these when I see them cause they are dead cute like

    And always seem to sell

Wondering if it's a salesman sample

Teapot missing lid, or watering pot ?

Has a yellow type clay, maybe French or Belgian ?

    Any thoughts appreciated

I wonder if it is Provençal, they use yellow clay, and there is an overlap of shapes and uses with Spain.
For a child, maybe? I played with my grandmother's toy kitchenalia as a child. It included things that wouldn't be allowed today. I was never poisoned and never set anything on fire though.:joyful:

Yes, I would think part of a child's play set. Although miniature ceramic pieces are used to decorate Nativity scenes.

Yes, I even have some myself, somewhere. Mine are from Provence, along with my Provençal 'Santons'.

Someone should tell Joseph to support the baby's head btw.:nailbiting:

You may well be right re Provençal. The colors a bit too subtle for Spain. And the gargoulette, their version of the botijo seems to have a wider mouth and a lid. Still, don't see anything quite so low and rounded.

Cute :) My vote would be Provencale too. And it would definitely be a children's toy rather than a salesman's demo, because this type of jug isn't a mass production but a regional pottery style made by local artisans (ergo no large factory to go to the bother of making samples for). In France small dinner sets are very common, usually for a child's use to play house with porcelain dolls (Google "Service de poupee" or "Service Vaisselle Minature / Dinette" I've never seen one like yours before, though admittedly I'm not closely following this type of item. It's sweet!

Thanks Kylie, hadn't thought of it like that regarding it being a sample, but that does makes sense

Here with the important questions, as per ... @charlie cheswick, is it Sindy sized? Or bit big? ( Not that I have anything to offer, just curious. Love Sindy sized stuffs xx)
    It's fab. Love it.
I pick up Sindy/Blythe sized things if I come across 'em

EDIT: I forget not everyone has piles of fashion dolls stacked everywhere. She's 11 ish inches/28 ish cms) xxxx

Charlie you find the FABBIEST stuffs xx

Another important question, does Sindy have a Provençal costume? I know she has a lot of special costumes, so hoping....;)

Most of these girls are wearing the rural 'Mireille' costume, suitable for carrying pottery pitchers::)

AJ I LOVE those costumes. Love them.
    Thank you for showing me.
Sindy doesn't have one but dam! She should.

I keep meaning to start making Sindy outfits, I gather bits of beautiful materials with great intentions. Then stuff 'em into (one of many) boxes. Haven't actually sewn for years but I do need to re start.
I think Sindy'd look 'mazin in a costume just like those ... it's great inspo.
Need to practice first, but am a bit inspired!

( The only remotely Provençal Sindy thing I can think of is the material which was used for the American bed time set, which they call *Provençal*, it's a pretty sprigged material but as I am as always clueless, I don't actually know if it is Provençal inspired, or not?)
I'll see if I can find a pic.
(SORRY Charlie for the derail xx

Found a pic but it's not very clear
( Not my image, I found it on a selling site so I thought best to not link it xx )

Sindy would look gorgeous in a Provençal costume.
It could be Provençal inspired. They have those delicate flowers as well as bolder patterns.

Here is more info on the costume of the region of Arles, Nimes, and Aix-en-Provence:

    https://folkcostume.blogspot.com/2012/07/womans-costume-of-arles-provence-france.html

It shows the hairdo, which is important to show the cute white 'cravate' hat off. I had it done a few times (I look sort of Provençal), so any questions, just ask.;)
It also shows the city lady's costume, with the ribbon around the little white hat, which has to be the most elegant in the world.

This is the costume of other parts of Provence, but I thought that would be too much work, with the bonnets and those gorgeous straw hats:

    Oh My GOODNESS AJ !
    The fabrics...swoonable.
Love the fabric in the backgound, too.
I have a Thing for fabrics and do really need to actually DO something with all the ones I gather. I get dresses as well with interesting fabrics, some have small prints which are dolly sized.
Cor those hats...oh man I wish I was really good at sewing, I wannnnnnt Sindy to have all of it.
So I really have eveything I need and if I didn't, would be easy enough to get hold of.

I need to take small steps and actually start somewhere. SO grateful I am alive now, this is the best time ever to be alive I think.
All and any info I should/would need is there
That hair do looks very intricate. I can usually master hair though

(Was just about to brag that nuttin' hair wise has ever defeated me then I remembered I cannot do the original Sindy ponytail. I cannot. I have tried & tried it's impossible!!! GRRRR)

Given me a lot of food for thought, thank you so much AJ x

    It's super super cute, Charlie.

I have Faith in you as well btw.
I know if you saw Sindy in the wild you'd snap her up! xXx
Don't know if you've seen any of the prices but Sindy is a VERY lucrative business xxx

    Love seeing your finds.
