I'm trying to date this piece and figure out where it came from. Extensively carved, with figural legs and a top that rotates. Anyone seen anything like it? Thanks! ... Dave

    Indian? instead of Asian?
Isn't that the Hindu goddess with all the arms?
Can't think of her name right now.

Yes, good observation -- I'm sure I'll be able to find the name.

We'll probably mention both in our title. I see similar pieces from India, but more that are Burmese. I haven't had a chance to evaluate the carved images on the top yet, to see if that provides any further clues.

Vishnu and wife Lakshmi in the center. I don't think India, though.

I suspect Indonesian from the legs.

The outer rim carving of the table top may hold some clues .
There's a number of images there that look odd.

The carving on the base does not look Indian. I'm also leaning toward Indonesian.

We've come full circle! That is actually a link to our listing, coming through from eBay Canada (we're listed on eBay US, but the other eBay sites mirror the listing). We are uncertain as to the origin of the table, but believe it is an antique and not a new repro.

I think it's older, as in early 20th C. Love those California prices. ;)
