The wowzer was the $12 lady's watch. A $25 piece in 14 grams of 14K.

    The spoon polished well.

Now we need to see the watch! I missed out on similar about a week ago. The homeowner decided "oh that wasn't supposed to be for sale." (sigh) I much prefer owners who want it outta there.

Well, it was terribly hot yesterday. I will do show and tell from my flea market. Only half the vendors were there, can't blame them. I visited a guy I saw last week and he was pretty nasty. Told me I need to get up earlier because I was five people too late for his jewelry. I bought a nice barrette from him for $1. I was feeling a bit down, then a regular was putting out jewelry and clothing. A woman was first, a gold shark was second, I jumped in. They bypassed a few treasures, everything was $2. Then I decid3d to revisit her and found a young guy selling things, if I had gotten there a minute later, another competitor would have grabbed everything. But he cleans out a jewelry lady before the sun even rises.....
From the young guy, I need to revisit these pieces tonight armed with new knowledge. All $2 a piece.

This was one of my favorites, $2. Passed over by two buyers, I grabbed it. It is a necklace and bracelet connected to make a long strand, open-back bezel set. 20220626_135647.jpg

Bingo! Marko get the prize this week!

I was cheesed off on Friday that I got to an estate sale (wasn't even planning on going) in time to see someone else buy all the gold rings. It happens.

Somebody was blind! Czech bezel set crystal from the 30s, looks like. I'd have jumped on that so fast....

Yeah, I did a long reach-over. It's hard to watch someone else get the goods, but we can't get all the deals all the time. I really didn't think I would find anything that day due to the lack of vendors and heat, and of course, two of my big sharks were there. I had a good day Friday, more pics to come.

I am a teacher, so for most of the year I don't get to do much treasure hunting. It's easier to find thrift treasures during the week. There are weeks, like evelyb says, I just waste gas and time. This week was a good week, just lucky.

From Friday...I stopped at a local thrift and saw a yard sale sign, 11:30 am. I would normally skip it, but I went. I wish I was there first thing in the morning because her jewelry was $2-$4. 20220626_160328.jpg
The flower cuff is heavy stetling. Rings are sterling, one is black rutilated quartz. Other cuff has no markings, heavy, sterling or silverplated. White and blue earrings are sterling quartz. 18k HGE ring from a thrift, Zuni inlay sterling earrings $4. Below, Amanda Blu costume charm bracelet. On ebay, the charms are around $9 a piece, bracelet around $3, spent $2.
