This is a fun vintage painting - looks like gouache, pastel and ink. There are some condition issues. I feel like I have seen this work before. At first I thought the last name was George but I am not coming up with anything remotely similar. I can try to get photographs of the backside when I am out staging on Monday. Thank you for looking! It looks like George to me too. First name Darran?

Think that's right. I970s-1980s from the look of it. Shame about condition. Should be a lithograph. Is the paper marked?

You may find it's a lithograph with touches of ink and gouache :)

Yep - didn't examine it without a loop and the glass made it kind of difficult but at my age, I can't see pixilation without a loop darn it!

So I contacted the folks who oversee the Adrian George artist website and they confirmed that what I had was an original painting for the Architectural Design cover created for the Munich Olympics. Turns out the owner (important architect) was friends with Adrian and collaborated with him on several projects. It is, as I expected, gouache, pastel and ink. https://www.flickr.com/photos/-phraser-/albums/72157631306993388

I hadn't notice the architectural hat. Goes right back to a 1931 Beaux Arts Costume Ball:
