Hello, I am a collector of antique radium items, especially radium "emanators". I also look for anything with the word radium in the name, such as "Radium Brand Creamery Butter". If anyone has anything of the sort, please contact me. Thank you for your time.

I am not disposing of this, but I researched radium silk and wrote a little bit about it for a vintage fashion group...and it might give you an idea for another direction in which to search. It is not radioactive...

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

What an interesting thing to collect! I don't think I have anything like that at home, but will check.

Do you only collect radium? Or do you also collect radioactive things in general? i.e., Early “red” (uranium oxide glazed) Fiestaware, older USGS compasses, early “glow-in-the-dark” watches, etc?

Should add, I used to collect such, plus uranium vaseline glass, when I was a health physicist working in radiation safety for US govt (VA Med Center). Also collected vintage geiger counters, old Civil Defense meters, dosimeters, & misc vintage lab & medical equipment that came my way — most stuff that was decommissioned & going to be thrown out. Wish I’d held on to more of it! Uranium glass is SO popular now!! ...smh...
