Any Info on BIG Antique Bugle? Flugelhorn? by Couesnon (Paris, France)

    I found this yesterday while out picking. I'd never seen a horn so big + I saw that it was made in France, so I bought it.
    Trying to research it and the maker Couesnon I saw similar that were called bugles and others that looked the same called flugelhorns - what do I have? (with no keys/buttons to press I thought it was a bugle)
    Is it meant to be a musical instrument being this big or just decoration? (it's almost 23" long & the horn part is 7 1/2" wide)
    How old is it?

    The address 105 Rue Lafayette dates it to no earlier than 1937.
