I asked a couple GWill Employees about the lack of interesting items in recent history. 2 of them said some of the managers/assist mgrs picked stuff out to let their favorite dealers have.Don't know if this is widespread or just here & there. I would doubt if most of their reg employees are overpaid, management and corporate though-no idea.

Some of the rank and file are given a "special" rate - peanuts. Not even an dollar an hour. The place runs like a for-profit, so the $$$ is going somewhere but most likely not to the people they're supposed to help. The Sally is a different proposition - they really DO help people and the CEO salary is about $15,000/year. Or was the last I heard.

Yesterday's goodie pile. The plastic bag has a Laguna necklace I spent last night stringing and a matching bracelet. The rest of the first image is costume. The lady who had the wingbacks was surprised I knew how they worked. The second image is the sterling rings. Not sure if the band with the square stones is garnet or tourmaline. The gold is in the third image. White agate and 14k ring, aquamarine pendant, ruby heart, 14k bracelet missing stones, 14k and turquoise thin little chain, sterling 12k (I think) and emerald ring, and a blue topaz pendant in either gold or gold-plated silver. Can't read the mark.

Below that, lucite candles, a 30s velvet purse (needs two seconds with some pliers - the chain got loose on one end), and the De Vilbiss/Lenox atomizer. Last image - all of the jewelry. Oh and... that 5-stone ring is Ripka. Probably retails for the price of the whole pile I bought at the one tag sale. Some bits came from the first tag sale.

My flea market was the Twilight Zone yesterday. It seemed only one of three major competitors was around, but I kept being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Vendors complained they were swarmed, couldn't even unload without people grabbing things.

Some small things. Most people just said "Make a pile, I'll give you a price."
A lot of cat brooches. The dual cat one with green eyes is Gorham sterling. Hoop sterling marcasite earrings, $3, two sterling onyx rings, $5 each, all else $1 each.

Somehow this thrift missed a lot. More on that later. I had a 20% off reward card.
    From another thrift
$4 iris glass bracelet. I love iris glass.

The freshwater pearls are base metal, the CZs sparkle like crazy, the red set I bought because the small earrings are 10k rubies. $1 to $2. 20220619_175903.jpg
The over 18" graduated sea pearl necklace with a 14k wg clasp was $16 after the coupon. I debated.....
I am guessing the buy of the month is this, $4 after the coupon. I spied a 14k clasp and thought somebody stuck it on some glass beads. Chalcedony beads with white tourmaline spacers, over 20 inches.. I will post this on the jewelry board.

Holy Cow-This looks like a chest Jack Sparrow just unearthed on Skull Island ! Did you ladies find all this stuff in a few days ? Boggled as far as Jewelry Terms go-I don't have a clue as to what you're talking about, but not dumb enough to think it wasn't a great haul.

Thought that these were too cool to leave behind at the local auction. Apparently, some other products from this brand are in the Smithsonian. Not finding many completed sales on eBay - does that mean these are rare or not worth enough to invest time in listing?

@evelyb30 - Your atomizer is shown in the c.1936 catalog & is number S350-51. The original retail price was $3.50.

I only have a few of the Lenox bottles. I got this one just this last November for just a little under $34.00 with shipping & tax.

Mount is definitely early 20th century. It still looks older than the cameo to me.

Think maybe 'tube hinge' was for 'trombone clasp'?

The wild part was most of my jewelry came from ONE tag sale. I think I must have been the first person into the jewlelry pile. $38 for a good $400 in scrap plus the costume was a very good "lick."

Not bad for $5 then. :) I knew the name because you mentioned it, and of course know Lenox. Knew the candles because other resellers always seem to want to find them.
