    Hello,
I recently posted about a bowl which was listed as “goryeo celadon” but with the help of this forum, was identified to be most likely Sawankhalok instead. This raised my suspicions on other items I purchased from the same seller. One such item being this “Edo chawan”. I received mixed opinions on reddit about its authenticity and decided to take more pictures. 5DC857B2-7CC1-4213-B17A-5D98A6C97C0C.jpeg 37FCFAE4-05CF-4F64-A759-301B747F6F3A.jpeg 272B96DF-8F8B-4277-A6D3-FAC6792A6F8E.jpeg FDA09C97-2AD5-4569-9858-7766E373C242.jpeg

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Hello, @Xander Chia -- I'm not very familiar with Japanese pottery, but am interested in learning. So far I've learned that "chawan" means "tea bowl" and "Edo" means that it is made during the Edo period in Japan (1603-1867).

It does appear to be a tea bowl... are you asking whether this tea bowl was made between 1603 and 1867? Just trying to make sure I understand.

I hope somebody here can help you with your question. You even waited a year to follow up!
