Reupholster it ! Great shape,but who the heck wants to sit on plastic ?!?

 

When you do the whole chair, remember not to wet it too much at one time - and keep wiping.
You don't want water to soak into the edges too much.

I've had good results with Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom spray. I had a red vinyl banquette in my old kitchen, it was faded a bit but at least it was clean. One of the best curb finds.

You could try those 'magic eraser' sponges...I don't use them for everything, but they do come in handy.

I would be careful with magic erasure. They use a very strong grit, like on sand paper to clean. I would be afraid it would take the shine off of old vinyl.

the 'magic erasers' I'm thinking about are those soft white sponges...no grit on those.

Hi Cartoongirl,
Those white magic eraser sponges have micropore grit that is why they clean and disappear. They made from crushed diatoms (single cell animal with calcium carbonate shell). The sharp edges of the broken shells cut through the dirt. I use them to "sand" between layers of varnish on furniture.
