Marko, your gift is so thoughtful - and such a heartfelt gesture. Absolutely wonderful.

Best of luck with your new "career"! (I, too, am on my own, rather similar, 3rd career. It feels liberating!)

Marko, your keepsake is a so delicate attention, and wonderfully matched with the chain, your neighbour will surely appreciate and I hope it will comfort her in such a tragical situation:)

Went to a church sale today and a Salvation Army (full rave/rant in the Rants and Raves thread) and came home with stuff. The whoopsie in the bunch is a pin I thought for sure was gold-filled, because the lady seemed to know what she had and it was priced $2. It's Bell Epoque/Edwardian 14k with blue zircons. The moon pin came from the Sally, priced about 50 cents. It's silver and looks like a lot of hand work.

Here is my best find in quite a while, a keeper for me, now to find the chair that goes with it:) I really like footstools, they keep coming home with me. I love the faux wood base on this one.

Here are a couple of my other mid-century footstools.
The round one is Spottrup Denmark
Square adjustable one is Westnofa of Norway - I have 2 of these
Sadly no chairs for these ones either

Well done. It's a little Georgian gaming token, made in China. Came with all sorts of oddities, including a nice amber pendant, and the brass plaque I've posted as a separate thread.

I've seen more than a few of them, made in China for the Chinese market. People put metal bezels on them and turn them into jewelry.

I may well do that with this little one, it's charming. They do turn up a lot here, not expensive, but I love their back story.
