Featured Unusual Silver Necklace

    Good morning, all. I hope you had a restful weekend. I am posting pictures of a necklace I have had for some time; I must have purchased it at least two decades ago, overseas. As you will see from the attached pictures, it is a thick flexible woven strand of what I believe to be high quality silver (I can find no markings).

    It ends in two terminals decorated with bezel-set moonstones and granulation. (I think this is called a lariat style, as the two terminals hang down on the chest.) There are two small loops soldered onto the sides, and there used to be a small S-shaped piece which joined the two loops.

    Have any of you seen anything like this before? Would you have any idea where it might've been made? My guess is Asia, and I have looked at both Thai and Indian examples, but failed to find anything similar enough. Any information would, as always, be much appreciated!

    Like the ad says, Hardy has a lot of pieces made in Bali.
