hello, a have a Weiman low table 101-5377 red leather with golden details. have two collapsible arms and one big drawer.

could you help me date it? I have tried in vain to find information or catalogs on this type of furniture... do they have any kind of relationship with the furniture that Nordiska made in Europe?

in the afternoon I am attaching photos, thank you very much for your time

thank you very much in advance for the help.

I bought the table years ago in a second-hand store, I have not done any restoration work, only maintenance, it is not in the best conditions, I must say:/

I would love to know something about the history of Weiman and if you have any information about this week I will be very grateful :)

at the time of purchase it was missing two of the four claws on the bases
I am looking for a specialized restorer here in Buenos Aires

    thanks
    Dario

Coffee tables are all post-WWII as far as I know, and it's made like it's from the late 40s into the 50s, so I agree.

This is so-called Duncan Phyfe style from the 40s-50s. I am not sure this is worth professional restoration. The claw feet are available on ebay. Search: duncan phyfe claw foot brass. A little Howard's Restor-A-Finish would do wonders for the wood. Clean the leather top and apply a coat of paste was to improve its appearance.

The OP is in Argentina. I'm not sure what's available in South America, although paste wax ought to be. (aka butcher's wax if memory serves. Beeswax if you can find it. )

Howard's Restor-A-Finish most likely not available from local stores, but there used to be a similar product from Ceramicol (a Johnson's brand) called scratch remover or something like that, which occasionally appeared in supermarkets across the River Plate. Replacement feet, also probably non-tradable due to shipping costs.
Very nice empire revival piece all the same.

I have essentially the same table. Late 40’s is a good date for it. Got mine at end of estate sale for $10.00. I doubt restoration is worth it as that would be more than its worth.
