Strange day yesterday. Went to a yearly outdoor antique show. First booth I visited the ladyvwanted stupid ridiculous prices for everything. Wandered around, all prices were really high. The show was slow because on the same grounds they had a separate wine festival. I went back to the first lady. She found jewelry in her things and asked me if I thought it was real amber- it was, told her I thought it was, and told her to check with other dealers at the show. She said she thought it was costume

, and was going to put it out, but dealer told her what it was. So she was doing the happy dance and let almost everything she had go for $5!!!! Sometimes it pays to be late to a venue. Here's what I got: GF screwback cameo earrings,
    Long strand of pearls, sterling,
    Buffalo horn? Bangle,
    Trifari kitties in a basket.

20220612_111047.jpg Then I visited an antique mall.
    Spidey was $9
Cameos....probably made for the tourist trade, tube hinges. The MOP has gorgeous blue/pink iridescence I can't capture. It will be popped out of that damaged base metal frame. $6. The double left-facing cameo, Athena and Ares, was $5.

    Red glass necklace, $8
    20220612_111530.jpg
    Wrap around cufflinks, $3 each
    20220612_111349.jpg
MOP double strand with detachable brooch clasp, $18
    20220612_111222.jpg
Lastly, Goldette festoon choker, open-back crystals. $14. See ebay for one similar, asking $225, 12 watchers.

    Here's a good weekend's finds for me:

I think the pot is an unsigned Santa Clara Pueblo swirl melon jar. I think the belt buckle may be Navajo and was $8, the weaving was $3, and the carved bone seal and man were $1 for the two.

Scored some stuff last weekend. Some this weekend too, but I don't have that photo uploaded yet. Last weekend: a chunky amber necklace, gold-filled and cloisonne, sterling and carnelian cuff, single sterling earrings, sterling pairs, Ciner enamel and rhinestone earrings, a charm bracelet also sterling, and big honker of a Polish sterling and amber necklace. The cross is the only thing I found last Saturday. Silpada sterling.

The Tiffany box is now storing the 14k chain, and the frame is Jewels by Robert. The coral is Chinese but it's on sterling. The big chain on the right is vermeil.

Evelyb and I are the east coast. She is in New England, tons of jewelry, not too bad here in South Jersey, either.

Maybe it's savvy to charge uber high when there's a wine festival next door.

A dealer once told me ALWAYS book a table at any show at a winery. They should have had a combined admission fee for both shows. My friend did well at the antique show because he sells old and new sterling jewelry-he probably would have doubled his sales at the wine show.
