A former co-worker's spouse is a real deal paranormal investigator. Says she's debunked probably 98% of the activities she's investigated, without all the phony gadgets used by tv hunters. Not only is she a skeptic, she's also a cynic. Dismisses any and all hunters that investigate primarily at night, saying unexplained activity doesn't care if it's night or day. In 20+ years, she's found less than half a dozen cases she believes to be 'otherworldly' and reoccurring. What its done more than anything is strengthen her belief in religion. She has fun and says it provides her with some pocket change. She won't watch the shows because "they're all done by fraudsters, giving people like me a bad name." Full disclosure: she only does ghost hunting, no UFOs, cryptids, etc.

Yes, I've seen more stuff happen during the day than at night..
But I guess that's because I'm in houses during the day.. My own house goes bump in the day and night, but we've probably had more activity during the day

I enjoy ghost hunting shows, but they will admit that they are done during the night to add a "creepy factor".

 

I have told this story once before. It was early morning and I just sat up in bed to start getting ready for the day when I saw my deceased grandfather in the doorway.

My mother was at home in her last days of life in her bedroom.

This was her father in the doorway. I stared at him till I had to blink. And then he was gone. I went into the kitchen to ask my father if he was in my room at the doorway. He said no. Plus my father was wearing a suit and my grandfather was wearing a red corderoy shirt and tan pants (one of his usual outfits back in the day). He looked healthy but concerned. So spirits do show up in good light.

 

My old boss' father said he was sitting in his grandparents in-law's livingroom while the family was gathered around the dying grandmother in her bedroom.
He said a man walked through and said, "I'm here to get [grandmothers name]", and walked right on through.
He didn't know it at the time because he'd never met him, but it was his wife's (deceased) grandfather. It wasn't long after that she passed.

 

A friend was in the room when his father was about to die. His dad was staring at one corner and one of the siblings said "I bet he's seeing an angel." Dad very clearly replied "I see two." Full daylight. He died shortly thereafter.

 

The funny part is they actuall had a premade sign.
