Vintage Red Skelton TWA print help please

Hi all, long time no see! I’m going through my great uncles estate and figure this is probably trash but just wanted to double check with you all! This print measures approximately 11” x 14”. Thanks for any help!!

 

I wouldn't assume it's junk. Can't find another on the internet.

I do like it. It does look similar to but not the same as "The Gent" by Red Skelton. He seemed to name all of his paintings and figurines. I have some of the figurines and they are adorable. If you want someone to take it off your hands I would be glad to.

Hi and thanks uliwitch. I’m just trying to figure out if I should list it or not for sale. My 97 year old great uncle passed away a few months ago and I’m in charge of selling his clown collection. There are hundreds of them! I have so much work ahead of me and I’m sure I’ll be asking for lots of help in the months to come. Thanks

That sure looks like the TWA airlines logo. I spent a while last night trying to find any information about Red Skelton being connected with an advertising campaign or some such thing. Zip - zero - zilch - nada.

 

Thanks so much lauragarnet, i appreciate you looking! I have only found a couple things when looking, but none that affiliate skelton with ads for twa, but i read about the airlines in the 50’s trying to encourage people to ride planes instead of trains at that time, and using famous people to attract them.
