Have this original silk screen of a Spanish Lady would anyone have an Idea of artist.I found a similar style and colour print that had the name E Bennet and dated to 1955 on a site .Had a look and there’s an American artist of that name but don’t think it’s the same style or artist . 90CA4098-4EA7-42B5-86BA-2F6DD30F06B5.jpeg 76F4A49E-4DE3-4748-AA66-69895A03C17D.jpeg 58F6BC39-F04B-4C25-B7A4-13FE6898A5DC.jpeg

Have found a very similar silk screen print titled Man in Paddle boat by E Bennet U S A c. 1955 .Very similar in style and colours used in my picture but a search I think is another famous American artist as his style is nothing like my own.

I have yet to find a signature on either work. The styles are quite similar, I agree. But where are the signatures?

Indeed never saw one on the other print , I’m reluctant to cut open my print as I like to leave stuff as I found them but maybe no choice will have a think and post any information if I find any. That other print really surprised me with the similarities they remind me of Ulster travel posters.

Just opened the back no signature will keep looking but you can see the similarities , nice screen prints though.

There is an artist named Elton Bennett but your work doesn't appear to be by him. Yours is very illustrative. Wonder how site identified 'Man in Paddle Boat' as being by an E. Bennett. It doesn't appear to be signed.

I'm still lost on the "Spanish Lady" reference.

Printed on the back I assume it’s the title of the painting sorry I didn’t make myself clearer thank you for replying and your time.

Idle guess is that the print was re-framed, replacing whatever the Spanish Lady may have been.
If true, that print might still be under this.

Would you post a photograph of the printed phrase "Spanish Lady?"
