Found today at the "gift house" at the dump. Pardon me, the transfer station, as it's now known. The coffee pot has no lid, some cracks & crazing, chipped spout and the handle was broken and glued. It's 9" tall. No marks. The egg cups have some crazing and no marks. They are 4 1/2" tall.

Of course, the coffee pot looks much better with flowers in it. :) 2015-03-01 02.31.00 (600x800).jpg

I've been watching it for a couple of hours and it's not leaking. I don't think the cracks go all the way through. If it starts to leak, I'll get silk flowers.

    Hi,
Please do not get silk flowers. If it leaks two things you can do. One is pour melted wax and swirl it around. When it cools it should be waterproof again. The other thing I do is slip a glass or a jar down into the pot and put the water in it.

    "Transfer Station?!"

However, now that I have finally been to The Dump, I can see why the name change -- such a tidy place!

    Love both of those pieces!!!

So, they are British? I just loved it at first sight. The egg cups, not so much, but who can resist free stuff. ;)

I'd say almost certainly ours. I do like the pot filled with flowers like that.

I'm so glad you found that link. Even though the pattern's not there, I'm thinking it's probably Adams. There's a woman who frequents the yard sales and thrifts and she did me out of a houseful of stuff last year. She was there ahead of me and walked right by it. After I picked it up, she came sniffing around talking about the cracks. I think she missed it and was trying to convince me to put it back down. Ha! It looks great in my sitting room.

There's flower shops over here that sell bouquets in vintage jugs and pots, usually if they've a bit of a chip or whatever. I think it's a great idea.

    Hi Bear,
When I was workin/helping out at my friends florist shop, I talked to the owners and suggested using the same thing. It really worked out.

It's neat: you recycle stuff and can charge more for it. ;) Win win!

Oh, but my problem is I never do sell it. I hoard beautiful things.
