Featured Bakelite Cherry Necklace?

This necklace is made up of celluloid links, plastic leaves and red plastic round beads with a marbleized finish. Is it safe to call the round beads Bakelite, or would further testing be recommended? Many thanks in advance for comments.

I would test...409, or Simichrome.

I'd test the cherries. I generally use baking soda; it sometimes works on the red where others fail. Dampen a cotton swab and dunk in baking soda. Rub the surface, hard, and hold near your nose. The swab should turn yellow or brown and the bead should stink of formaldehyde. Rotten milk is galaith instead of catalin - different stink, but close enough.

The red beads look promising for Bakelite. Agree it is a really festive piece.
