I bought this creamer this morning at a small street puce in Chagny, Burgundy, and had just started to research it when up popped your find @quirkygirl.

According pieces I've seen the two backmarks together were produced between 1891 and 1896. They also put work out for decoration.

Apparently, it is the green MR mark that provides dating information, and the red circle implies it is decorated in-house.

Certainly possible. White ware was shipped all over the place for hobbyist painters to decorate. Some wares would have been best off left white, but...tastes differ I suppose.

This was not decorated by a "hobbyist." The red circle mark is from a professional decoration firm.
