Featured William Comyns pierced Sterling Silver basket

Not getting a lot of traction on this piece. Hardly any views. Is silver not selling? William Comyns is a pretty popular maker and sells well. Just not getting any views which I think is strange.

 

Maybe there is something about the listing that could be improved? EBay or someplace else?

If you are talking about ebay they have radically changed their 'views' calculation, and it doesn't seem to be working properly at the moment.

Regarding the item, one image you post is probably a trick of the eye but it look like the rim is bent in, be mindful of this type of issue in images. Also I suspect the liner is a replacement, it doesn't look quite right and the colour seems wrong for the maker and period, this may be affecting interest from the fussier end of the collectors.

Of course it's all down to price too, if it's cheap it would sell immediately. I don't tend to buy this type of item from auctions as they fetch too much and I know I'll be stuck with it for a long time before it will sell at a reasonable profit. Many collectors are buying direct from auctions these days and bypassing dealers.
