Would this be considered a Barbizon painting?

The size of the stretcher bars are 16 1/3" x 13 1/2" so I'm thinking this is a European piece vs. an American one. Any thoughts on this? It looks like 19th century to me. If it's signed I cannot find anything definite, except for some black painting near right edge, but it's illegible. There is also some illegible writing on the stretcher bars. Thanks for any help with the style or origins of this piece.

Bakersgma, yes, I saw "Hirst" too. For some reason, I don't think that's the artist's name, though.

I'd say it's Barbizon-esque, but without knowing who or when...

It is an attractive painting, but I doubt it is painted by a member of the Barbizon school. It doesn't have the Barbizon feel and detail to me. And it doesn't appear to be signed.
There were many other Romantic painting schools in Europe, whose members painted in a similar style, subject and light.

It doesn't have the detail. It doesn't have the drama. It's not by an A-string painter for sure. But it looks like it was painted by someone practiced enough to go for an effect and more or less realize it, as opposed to someone whose effect is achieved because they don't know how else to lay down the color. And the effect they were going for was in a Barbizon taste.
