I needed ... out of there. (rolleyes) Not sure a vest would have helped. Thankfully next on the agenda is an estate sale about 2 miles from my house. Victorian gingerbread but alas with a few too many recent possession changes.

I'd have been all over those last three rings. The tiara makes me want to doll up for dinner at the White House in the Eisenhower era.

The most expensive ring was the big sterling modernist CZ for $20 at the gem show. It was the most expensive thing I bought all day.

Tauga nut pendant. I think this is my favorite thing.

More costume. I love the holly bracelet. The large amber rhinestone pin is missing the pin back. The other one is missing some stones, Hollycraft. I also love the silly fishbone earrings, alpaca Mexico. The earrings with the faces open up, have glass panels, you can put your own pics in them.

Another dragon. Don't think it's sterling.

This, I think, is 14k. Appears it is missing its pin back. 20220515_163718.jpg

MArko, do you ever sell, or do you just have a Bear sized Hoard!

I have one more year at my current job. Retirement plan is to sell. Everything is organized in plastic shoeboxes on Ikea bookshelves. Anything valuable is in a safety deposit box. I am sure I have a Bear-sized hoard, but jewelry is small.

The new dragon pendant is sterling.

Make sure you have the tax ducks lined up first. The government is getting even more rapacious than it used to be, if possible. And keep records - keeps the blood sucking to a minimum.

Yes....had a friend who sold on the bay, got audited, ended up almost $10,000 in the hole, which included lawyers fees. There are some high-end shore towns here that have shows.

Friday morning's goodies. Went to an estate sale that I knew wouldn't be great, but I know the seller. When she gets jewelry she has it at a flat price, it always shows up late, and sometimes you can get things for pennies on the dollar. This time I ended up with a giant serrated knife, a purple glass elephant bottle stopper with a blue trunk, and a big hunk of amber and silver. Haven't been over it for marks yet. The earrings are sterling, and the cameo is gold-filled costume. I forget whodunnit.

The elephant alas doesn't change colors.

I am loving the elephant most of all. The heat was a killer, I.stayed in yesterday. Today I had to go grocery shopping, so I stopped in an antique mall nearby. I swear the prices in the antique malls are better than thrift shops now.
The Vogue necklace was $4, has two strands of glass beads, one of them givre beads, and the other three strands are plastic
20220522_165041.jpg The following were $3 each
Probably handmade, but wort it for just the coin pearls
