Do you think this bracelet is Native American or Mexican made? It has EIXA scratched into the inside. I did find this mention that looks like the same style bracelet. It also has the EIXA, which that site describes as a trader/pawn mark. I don't think it's a pawn mark since two different bracelets (theirs and the one I have) both have that mark. This one was never pawned.

Southwestern perhaps. The motif isn't Mexican.

Native American looking for sure, and old. Beyond that dunno. I can see a Navajo gent wearing that easily enough, but who actually made it I have no idea.

    Ver' nice, too!

BTW: I often use a Morgan Dollar for size comparison. It's surprising how many folks haven't seen one.

Gorgeous cuff bracelet, nice age too.
EIXA is not in my list of shop names, but that doesn't mean it isn't a shop name.
Maybe because many folks are not from the US? Many forum members certainly aren't.
Try a Lion Dollar (Leeuwendaalder) next time. I would recognize that.;)

I understand that. What I meant was how many Americans fail to recognize either a Morgan or Peace Dollar...I should have made myself clearer about that.

I collect them - I have about 40 - the most beautiful American coin made next to a $20 Saint Gauden's Double Eagle gold piece!

So do I...waiting patiently for silver to break $40. At 81, I may die before that occurs.

I've got not quite 300 Morgans, having sold the Peace Dollars at just over $20 silver. Sigh...

Gorgeous. I don't wear a lot of jewelry but I'd wear that.

wlwhittier - You have me beat quantity wise - but let me show you my favorite & most beautiful one; you've heard of toning I'm sure & some toning can beautiful - like this one! This is my 1885 Morgan with "bullseye" toning. It's one of the most beautiful Morgans with toning I've ever seen and is my favorite even if it's not the most valuable (I have some CC (Carson City mint) Morgans that are worth more).
    Hope you like it!

Here is a photo without the flash - do you know anything about grading? I have a couple that are graded but I bought them that way; I'd like to get a few of mine graded (like this one) but am not sure how to tell which are worth grading (I know if you can see the ripples/feathers on the chest of the eagle on the reverse that those will be a higher grade because that wears down first when they've been in circulation/handled a lot) - any rough idea what you think my bullseye would grade at?
    Thanks
