Featured Is this A Jade macrame ring.

I don't even remember where or when i got this. it is in need of repair of the macrame. I think it is a Buddha?.
Any help appreciated. maybe just ?

This is probably way off the mark, but it would make a cool ponytail holder.

 

Definitely a Buddha. What the stone is...dunno. It might even be jade, but the setting suggests otherwise.

 

I've never seen (or heard of) a macrame ring... but there it is! Have you tried it? Is it appropriately ring-sized?

Like @pearlsnblume suggested: could it be a hair tie?

 

Unfortunately the cord is broken. But it would fit. Way too small for a hair tie.

He is cute, but definitely not a Buddha.
He is a Budai, an eccentric 'character' who is revered in China. He stands for enjoying the good things in life.
The names Buddha and Budai are confused in the West, where Budai is also known as 'Laughing Buddha' or Big-belly Buddha'.

Buddha is ascetic, slim, and much more serious.
