Featured Not Antique, But is this Lacquer tray Japanese?

    It is 12" diameter with beautiful hand painted Eagle?
    Signed also. Back is just black with no marks or stamps.

    Looks like it, I can only make out the first character (価) which will translate into something like precious, so fits for the item.

    I saw another just like it on Ebay. 9" with a different signature. That sold for $30.

    Thanks @Aquitaine . It's hard to tell from the pictures but it is a red pearl metallic like finish.
