About 4 1/2" tall and 6 3/4" x 5 1/8" across. Any idea what is the stone and where is this coming from? Old or not?
    Thanks

I think it's a molded composite material and probably quite recent.

It's an Ironstone (pottery) pudding mold that's REALLY showing it's age...100 yrs. plus, probably 1870s ish. Made in America.

Vaguely possible it's yellowware. I'd try giving it a long soak in warm soapy water to get some of the gunk off were it mine.

It looks like a 19th century kitchen mold to me too. I've had good luck getting gunk out of the cracks with hydrogen peroxide. It takes a while though.

    Hi,
Wonderful mold even in it's condition. I would add some ammonia to the soapy water.

    Hi,
I had a baking dish in yellowware that was so bad even after several soaks I literally sprayed it with Oven Cleaner and left it in my oven overnight. Next day washed it and it was so clean I thought it might have a new dish.
