Featured Morganite?

I believe this is morganite, someone suggested it may be something else. It is set in silver I believe.

 

Unfortunately no one can tell you the stone for sure from just an image, it needs to be tested. The final picture shows a large clear window with no sign of facet doubling, which would kind of indicate a singly refractive stone although it may be just the odd angle. Single refraction would lead more towards glass, or possibly some form of synthetic spinel etc.

 

AND I tried to enlarge that mark inside the ring, but it's just not clear enough for anyone to read I don't think, unfortunately.....I turned it every which way to try and make it readable!!

Thank you for trying. I looked with a loupe & still can’t read it. I know it was from one of my Aunts. My daughter in law loves it. Then again she knows & my only granddaughter knows they ask & they will receive.

 

It's certainly the right color, but morganite generally is set in gold. It's the peachy/pink version of emerald. I'd definitely have this tested, because if that's legit morganite you may have better than sterling in the setting.

True, although I've seen Russian morganite jewellery set in silver.
However, I think I can discern a number 18, in which case it could be 18k white gold. Not sure if I'm right though.

 

hard to say. Some American pieces from this era weren't marked at all if made for sale locally. The artisan knew and the buyer knew the artisan, and the law said they didn't have to. These days almost everyone marks gold, but that wasn't always true.

 

It's pretty!
The whole look of the ring makes me think the stone is glass.
If it was morganite, the cut would be better, and it would be in a more substantial high karat gold setting, maybe with diamond accents.
You should have the metal tested, to be sure.
