This is a large brooch/pin. It is marked Checoslovaque ( I could be incorrect, so hard to see even with a loupe.) It is 3 inches across and 1 inch wide. Any thoughts? 0F8A0214-A9DD-4799-818B-7366021B1C48.jpeg EBEA675E-B641-45D4-8607-EA16FDF1CA1A.jpeg

Tchécoslovaquie is the French name for Czechoslovakia, so could it be that? If so, then Czech made for the French speaking market. Looks like late Deco into Modernist style to me, nice clean lines.

You solved a mystery for me that has driven me insane for so many years! I thought the T was a hallmark but not part of of Czechoslovakia. I have searched for hours looking for anything on this brooch and the T. Thank you so much!

The use of the French spelling was common between the wars on many Czech items. It was seen as upmarket.

So it is safe to say made between the wars? Good to know. Thank you.

Yup, I'd say so. The style fits too as does hinge and clasp.
