Lillian Vernon? Or?

My grandmother had a lot of “genuine cubic zirconia!” jewelry from Lillian Vernon. Some of it even had gold plating. Some was wonderfully fun costume jewelry, and some, well…She also had a couple of rather nice things.

This isn’t a style I’m wild about, so I’m not a good judge of what this is. Thoughts? Opinions? Knowledge to share? Thanks for any and all of the above!

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Nor am I, but it IS intriguing!!! I enlarged and rotated the next to last image.... hoping one of the other members can identify the markings better than I can!!! To me the top mark looks like there's an animal head on top of I'm not sure what they're called, and the lower mark looks like a script Q.....I'm kind of thinking Egyptian marks, but I can also be SO WAY FAR off base!!!! The lower isn't as enlarged and may be easier to see.....

I can’t even seem to be able to find a clear example of a Lillian Vernon mark, so don’t feel bad! I may just break down and take it to a jeweler.

Well, I still don’t know who made it or when, but apparently the jade is real and everything else is not what it appears to be. I knew it wasn’t solid gold (it just doesn’t weigh enough) but I was hoping the jeweler might be able to tell me which maker of costume jewelry was responsible.

It looks like nephrite jade and gold plated.
    That nugget style screams 1970s!
I loved Lillian Vernon. When the catalog came in the mail, I drooled over the jewelry!
I had a sterling and garnet ring from the catalog.
I wore it for years when I was a kid.
I don't think there was a Lillian Vernon mark on any of the jewelry, as they weren't a designer, just a vendor

My Grandmother was a big fan, always entered the contests, and seemed to always win 5th or 15th prize- see my next post in this forum!

Ah! Right! That makes perfect sense! I feel much better now, thanks!

That arrow and U is the Uncas mark. They made a little sterling for a while, but not much. I'd put odds on this being 18KHGE or similar - gold-plated, but the jade will be real. These rings were in department stores for a while "every ring in this rack (price)".
