Persian Art Restoration

    art.png I would like to get a family heirloom restored. I have contacted a local art restorer and the first question they asked was regarding what the art originally looked like. Unfortunately I don't know.

    I am looking for a referral for someone who might be able to identify what the attached art originally looked like. I believe the art is of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khosrow_and_Shirin which is a common Persian theme. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome, @dsyautonomaly.

    It is not easy to see in your photograph, but it looks like there has been water damage to at least the lower portion of the image. The style looks fairly modern (20th century), so it would be best if you could find someone familiar with the materials and technique of modern Persian illuminations. To make any kind of useful recommendations we would need to know where you are located.

    JMHO.
    the whole color scheme cries 1960s and later.
