Not really, but I do see random letters, which could just be scribbles. I can't blow it up well enough to really see. Start with the H where the brown meets the yellow. Worth a shot?

I don't see the stylization to indicate any signature in the line quality work, it looks like random sketched lines to me.

@J Dagger , I don't have any more information on this "curious lion" or "cowardly lion" or "surprised lion" (I can't quite figure out his expression, looks like he's seen a mouse!) but I want to mention something important about this fragile piece.

It appears the artist used a thin marker, perhaps a sharpie. ALL of this type of marker FADE IN THE SUN. So, keep it in a rather darkish area to preserve it. The paper appears to be thin newsprint, which will also turn more brownish in the sun. I don't see any foxing on it, I wonder if it was framed with acid free mat and backing?

I do not suggest you open this one up, the tighter it stays, the better it will remain preserved. The paper is rather darkened already, so that tells me it's getting more fragile. The ink does not look faded and it's not India ink used. From the paper alone, I would hazard a guess that it's more than 40 or 50 years old. And fragile.
    Did I mention: fragile ? :)

I’ll definitely leave the frame alone. While I like it, it’ll be moving on down the line eventually. I’ll keep it stored out of the sun until then. Thanks for the heads up.

    Beautiful piece!
Made me think about the story of the lion and the mouse back from when I was a kid. Lion spares mouse, mouse later saves lion from net lion gets caught in.
Artist sitting at his working table decides to entertain child that comes over:
    "Dad, draw me a lion!..."
    One or two minutes later:
"There you go! Now, blow on it gently, till it dries up completely..."
"Thanks Dad! I'm gonna show Suzy!"
"Ok... Just tell your sister I'll draw one for her too if she wants one!"
