Antique Pottery Container With "H" Under Bottom 4 footed Knob

    I got this pottery from an older lady who was getting rid of some of her older pottery.She had no idea what the item was.She has been collecting strange shaped items she added for years.Any idea what this item is.Measure about 7" tall,7" wide.     it looks like a vase....likely better suited for dried flowers and by the way the feet are applied.... studio at best....

    still, it has a look ! :)

    Yup, a vase. Either studio pottery or student pottery. Slab built, ball feet, disc or lozenge shape. (If it had a neck it could be called a moon flask.) Very craggy and earthy looking with the slash made in the clay before glazing.

    It looks like in the style of Japanese studio pottery that was very popular in the sixties and seventies.

    Looks to me like a home potter liked Troika pottery and attempted something similar.
