    Hi Pam,
How did you know your weight was by Heisey? Is it marked or just the shape?.
I will have to unpack mine now and look, never bothered to to look for marks on mine.

greg, it's probably not by Heisey, but I don't really know. There is no mark. There is only an inside rim of zig zags which you can see on the back. The man who sold it to me said it was by Heisey and he collected a lot of rare Heisey glass. Yesterday, I looked through my Heisey books by Clarence Vogel and couldn't find any paperweights shown in his books. Maybe Tom knows if they ever made them. I did a black light test on it and it really glows yellow and the glass is noticeably better than the glass on the paperweight with my mother's picture. So I will keep looking. It really wants me to keep it as it's growing on me through this discussion.

I agree...there is a market for antique/vintage paperweights such as this...

It's certainly antique, in the proper sense of the word. Late 19th C into very early 20th at most. Those pressed glass weights were made here, as well, but I'd doubt yours is British - not really the sort of thing that got imported.
