Featured Vintage Small pottery Scarab Beetles

Storage find. Small vintage vase with designs,scarab beetles around tree,stamped "made In Japan".Any idea what this vase is or age.

 

Those insects don't look like scarabs, but what they are is probably unimportant to ID. At 5 inches tall with a small opening, it looks like a bud or small nosegay vase.

 

Looks like it has some age on it, not new. But that's all I can tell.

 

You should be able to date it by the "Made in Japan" impression. Someone else will understand the nuances of the import requirement periods better than I.
