Just stated watching the 1st of 6 seasons of lovejoy (free to watch on uktv play)

Quite enjoying it actually, BBC series about a loveable rougue antiques dealer, late 80s early nineties

Supposedly he was a divvy ( someone who could tell an antique just by look without any previous knowledge or education)

I'm always being called a divvy, didn't know it meant I was an antiques expert !!

 

He looks a bit like Oliver reed to me

 

Loved his show ! he was fierce on Deadwood too.

I tried to read the books a couple of times but I just can't deal with the writing style, so I can only get my Lovejoy fix when it's on TV, which is not often here in the US

 

I love his relationship with lady felsham, and her husband who doesnt seem to care !!

 

The only quote I remember from Lovejoy is, "If you're going to put your hand in the pickle barrel, put it in all the way to the elbow!"

I found boardwalk empire a bit style over content, but only watched the 1st season

Best thing I've seen recently is the act, the gypsy rose case drama
