Big Copper Ladle

    Would anyone know how old this is? Took a closeup of how the well is attached to the handle. 18 3/4" long, well measures 6 1/4" x 6 3/4".

    JMHO, but you hay have more luck looking for a strainer or skimmer. With those holes it is not a ladle.

    Rivited. Rivets are set identically, meaning good rivet-setting tools were used. Hole spacing on round part is “perfect” as in it was hit once with a punch having a spike for each hole, over a die with as many holes in it. Looks like serial production/production line, most likely 20th C. Sometime.

    I'm with Marie. skimmer to get away the foam on the surface when cooking out bones.
