Hello everyone Can someone tell me what kind of vase this is? It's very light, marked "Argent" G L666 - maybe it's from France? Argent-sur-Sauldre .For me, the vase looks unusual, the design is interesting, write your opinion about this vase if it interests to you. Thanks. I suspect it's British. It was very common for inexpensive items to just have a shape name. Airbrushed, twenties ish.

One has a dry foot ring, a glazed bottom, and the G is different, so I don't think it's Renault.

It's pretty typical of airbrushed stuff here too. Oh, and different clay.

Argent is of course "money" in French. It would be a little odd to name your pottery company "money."

It's also the heraldic term for silver.

I had forgotten seeing impressed shape names on Grimwades vases before.

Grimwades did this, and so did some others. Beswick too.
